Climate Change is Making Our Food Less Healthy

As it turns out, our global climate change has more of an impact on our food and nutrients than we thought. High levels of atmospheric carbon are at a danger of lessening the major nutrients in staple crops such as wheat, rice, peas, and soybeans.

The levels of concentration of CO2 expected to enrich the atmosphere in about four decades time will significantly decrease levels of zinc, iron and protein, says a Harvard press release on reports found in a study. The reductions in these vital nutrients could be the most significant health threat that our global change in climate will give us.
