Common Water-borne Diseases And Their Prevention

Water is one of the most important factors in the life of human beings to sustain. Without water, it is not possible to eat, cook, or wash things. Our earth too covers major part with water. It is said that, one should drink water as much as they can to keep the digestion system proper and avoid diseases but there are some dangerous diseases that attack our body by water, such diseases are known as water borne disease.

Water borne diseases are one of the world’s most dangerous diseases. These diseases are caused by consuming fresh contaminated water. Some common water borne diseases are malaria, typhoid, cholera, dengue, and hepatitis A. Such waterborne diseases can infect people and make them ill. One should take severe precaution from such hazardous diseases.

Studies say that a high number of human deaths are due to such waterborne diseases. Sometimes it can be controlled and sometimes it takes the life of the individual suffering from any of this disease. These diseases are opening their jaws all over the world globally. The problems of waterborne diseases are mostly witnessed in the developing countries and increasing each day. Some important precautions can help us avoiding these waterborne diseases affect your body.

Firstly, we should boil the water and drink. Boiling the water kills all the germs in it and purifies it for drinking. Boiled water does not carry any germs in it. Currently there are loads of water purifiers in market that can also help for the same. Drink water after purifying it can be one of the greatest solutions and avoiding waterborne diseases.

Other thing that can help is to keep our immunity power high, so that such diseases could not harm us in any way and our energy generated by food can fight with them. For this, we need to have healthy food. Healthy food will generate energy in our body and keep these germs away from touching us.

We should also chew our food properly so that it digests soon and add up in our energy level. Eating food fast is nothing but just wastage of food. It can also result in vomiting, stomachache, and other stomach problems. Therefore, one should remember chewing one bite at least 32 times to make the food dissolve finely.

Avoid drinking water from open taps or used bottles. Only prefer packaged water bottle for drinking water that will keep you safe and hygienic. Not only water but also these safety measures should be practiced in drinking any kind of liquids like juices, milk, shakes, cold drinks, etc.

We should also wash our hands frequently and regularly to be safe from waterborne diseases. Such diseases are contagious and hence adequate precautions should be applied. The most important measure should be taken by the government to keep the reservoirs and water storage places hygienic, which are not done.

We should also avoid polluting the seawater as much as we can as those water is used for drinking and from somewhere our dirt is consumed by us. Keeping a check on water pollution can decrease the risk of waterborne diseases to a great extent.
