It may be hard to believe, but the holiday season is almost upon us. We’ve picked out ten of the best fitness gifts for under $50. Stay tuned as we plan to put out more recommendations for gifts under $100, $200, $500, and more!
Ab Roller Slide: These things have been popular for some time, and they are very simply to use. We have had customers buy one for themselves, and then come back and buy several more for friends & family. Expect to pay around $20
Ankle/wrist weights: A great accessory for someone who have a workout regime, whether it is walking, running, or working out on a rebounder. These usually go for under $10
Exercise Ball: One of the most versatile pieces of exercise equipment is a good quality exercise ball. Great for ab workouts, Pilates, and much much more. Don’t forget to get one with a pump! Exercise ball workout DVDs are a nice add on. Expect to pay under $25 for a good quality exercise ball and around $15 for a DVD.
Pilates Magic Circle: One of our favorites. Make sure to get one with a DVD or at least a workout chart. Typically about $35 when you get one with a DVD as well.
Yoga Set: A yoga starter set usually will include the mat, blocks and strap for under $30
Thigh Master: This was once a rather expensive item when they were heavily advertised on TV. Still popular, expect to spend around $20.
Hand Grips: For simple hand strengthening, nothing beats a set of hand grips. Make sure you get a set of two, which will set you back about $10.
Push-up bars: We really prefer doing push-ups on these rather than just on the floor. You can get the less expensive type for about $15, but we do think that it is money well-spent to consider gym-quality push up bars for around $30.
Pull-up bar: The age-old workout of doing pull-ups. You can get a good pull-up bar for between $25 and $30. Get the kind with brackets that screw into a door frame.
Exercise Mat: Whether into yoga, Pilates, or just sit-ups, a quality exercise mat is a must. Usually between $15 to $35.
This year, more than others, it is important to shop early. Why? Because of economic uncertainty and credit-market issues, manufacturers, importers, distributors, and retailers are holding inventories low and will run out of popular items.
