The American Heart Association meeting in Los Angeles has been discussing the rise in death rates over the winter months. Their conclusions seem to indicate that the colder weather is not a factor. Dr. Bryan Schwartz, MD, of the University of New Mexico in Albuquerque and Robert A. Kloner, MD, of Good Samaritan Hospital in Los Angeles reported their preliminary findings.
