I went with my daughter to a spa for an an acne treatment. The technician said she could not use the blue light because my daughter has braces in her mouth. My question is can you use the blue light with having braces in your mouth. If not why can’t the blue light be used. I wish I would have asked the question at the spa treatment. Thank you.
Elizabeth, With some braces (perhaps most braces), the dentist uses blue light to cure the cement that holds the brackets on. To my knowledge, blue light is not used to remove braces. I am pretty sure that the spa is looking for a reason not to use a home treatment for your daughter.
I wish that I could give you a definitive answer, but I recommend that you contact your dentist who could quickly answer the question.
