This is because there are also lots of related conditions that might have the same symptoms. The main cause of angular cheilitis is either being infected by bacteria or fungi. It is recommendable to visit the doctor immediately to avoid this condition from getting worse. The treatment of angular cheilitis depends on the main cause of the problem. Remember that addressing the root cause of the problem is important to prevent it from coming back. Recurring angular cheilitis can cause scarring on your skin and it might take some time to disappear.
