Summer is the perfect time for us to get in shape! Many people will take their workout outside around their homes or at the park. Man’s best friend usually ends up working out with them. They will always run alongside and stay at pace until you stop your run.
But maybe this weather is not the best time to take your dog out for exercising. The heat and humidity in the air at this time of year affects your pets a whole lot more that it affects you. Many pets die or become ill from such extreme heat and humidity.
The general rule is to add the outside temperature and humidity together, and if the result is greater than 150, leave your dog at home. If you want to make sure your pet does get exercise, wake up before the sunrise or wait until late evening when the air is cooler.
Remember your dog can’t tell you these things. He relies on you to figure it out.
