It’s no secret that recent college students are having more and more difficulty paying off their student loans. The economy is rough and the job market had become a challenge to break into. Recent grads are having trouble finding jobs after graduating and having an even harder time finding one in the area that they trained in.
This week, the President signed an executive order to provide relief to struggling student loan borrowers and has urged Congress to pass a student loan refinancing bill that is scheduled for a cote in the Senate later in the week. Hopefully the bill will pass, but if not, it still highlights the fact that there is a dire need to do something about the indebtedness among former students and will become a hot topic of issue in the upcoming midterm elections.
