There really is nothing more fundamental to our health than water, so let me ask you this very simple question. How much actual water do you drink? I’ve just been told that my water requirement, given not too much exercise, normal environment, should be about 3 liters a day. That’s about thirteen and a half glasses. Given that, on average we spend eight hours each day asleep, that works out on average to about 1 glass of water every hour. I don’t know about you, but my intake’s not even close. Worse still, that’s just me. At 3 liters a day, my household of five should consume 105 liters, 28 gallons of water every week or 1442 gallons in a year. How I travelled the World and Was Sick, Till I Discovered This!

A couple of days ago I got a call from a friend. She knows that I love to travel and have dragged my children all over Europe a few parts of Africa and the USA in the belief that travel broadens the mind. (I’m still convinced it does). We’ve been to some weird and wonderful places, so I wasn’t really surprised that she asked me for advice on what she’d need to take with her on her first major foreign trip. What was surprising was my answer. I enjoy ancient and historic places, but I’m no Indiana Jones. I like luxury travel, from suites on cruise ships to four and five star hotels, my progress tends to be slow and stately. I am not into camping (though I admire those who are), so she was surprised when I told her that the first thing she needed was a water sterilizer. [Read more…]
