Three Tips To Kick-Start A Tired Workout Program

February 21, 2011 By Shannon

Feel like you’re more enthused for house cleaning on a Sunday afternoon than you are for your gym workouts? If that’s the case, it’s time that you did something about it!

If you want to see optimal results from your fat loss fitness plan, you must be taking action and creating a plan that is not only going to deliver, but is going to keep you interested as well. Failing to do so could mean you fall right off the fitness bandwagon and move into a state where you’re completely comfortable with your current body size and shape.

To rev your results into high gear, try out any one of these three tips to quickly kick-start your tired workout program.

Shorten The Rest Periods

One of the fastest ways to quickly boost up a tired workout program is to decrease the total amount of rest you’re taking in between each set you do, forcing the body to work that much harder.

When you go from two minute rest periods down to one minute rest periods, not only are you going to decrease the total amount of time it takes you to complete the workout session, but you’re going to jump start your metabolic rate over the rest of the day.

This means you’ll be burning up calories faster, hence seeing a higher overall rate of fat loss take place.

Add In Some Supersets

Another quick and simple way to boost up your workout routine is to add in some supersets. Supersets will be where you pair two exercises immediately back to back with each other and then rest once that entire superset is completed.

The benefit here is that in doing so you’ll also cut the total workout time while creating a higher overall level of muscle fatigue.

This means that later on when you move back to your straight sets you’ll be able to fight fatigue that much better and lift more weight.

Try Out Kettlebell Training

Finally, the last great way to boost your workout program and get excited again about fitness is to try out kettlebell training. This is a new variation of strength training that’s becoming incredibly popular and will have you rapidly burning up calories, firming your muscles, and strengthening the core.

The variety of exercises you can do with kettlebell training will have you interested for quite some time so this will quickly wipe out all boredom completely.

So next time you’re feeling less than enthused about going to do yet another same-old workout, consider any one of these three techniques to increase your interest-factor and speed up your results.
