Thumper Massagers have been around since 1974 and are sold world wide to doctors, physical therapists, chiropractors, fitness trainers and many other physical fitness professionals. There isn’t any other massager that comes close to the quality and effectiveness of deep muscle percussion, as the Thumper.
The Thumper Mini and Thumper Sport are just two of the massagers offered by Thumper. They are very similar in design and are equal in percussion intensity. The Mini is designed more for the professional, that will be using it many times during a work day. Therefore it is built to endure repetitive use. Where as the Sport is more for periodic use on sore muscles or muscle spasms.
The Thumper Sport has a longer handle than the Mini, measuring 12 inches. Making this an ideal length to use by yourself. The Mini, on the other hand, measures 6 inches which makes it very manageable for one person to use on another.
Another difference between the two is the switch used to increase or decrease the intensity of percussion. The Mini has a button that clicks into 4 different positions. The first position being the least percussion and the forth position being the most. With the Sport the switch is a dial that ranges from 1 to 5 in percussion intensity.
I have tried both of these fine massagers and have found them to be of equal effectiveness. I do prefer the Sport for my own individual use. With the longer handle I can reach any muscle on my back. I love the dial switch that allows me to adjust the intensity gradually. Thumper came out with the Sport in order to meet the needs of the average person for a quality deep muscle percussion massager, with out breaking the bank. They have done it with the Sport.
