1. Antioxidants. Cacao is the major ingredient use for making dark chocolates and is rich in flavonoids. Flavonoids act as an antioxidant and cacao contains 8 times as much antioxidant than strawberries. Antioxidants flush out the harmful toxins from our system thus improving our immune system, protecting our bodies from cell and tissue damage, aids in digestion and even prevents deadly disease like cancer.

2. Improves cardiovascular health. Heart diseases like high blood pressure and heart attacks are associated with high cholesterol levels. Dark chocolates can help lower cholesterol levels and blood pressure thus preventing common heart ailments like heart attacks, stroke and high blood pressure.

3. Anti-depressant. Dark chocolates contain serotonin, which plays as an anti-depressant, and it also stimulates endorphin, which gives an individual a feeling of satisfaction and pleasure.

4. Aids in Weight Loss. Since dark chocolates contains less sugar and no milk, it has less fat and calorie content which is good for someone who is losing weight. It also makes an individual feel fuller for a longer amount of time thereby helping someone to stick with his or her diet plan.
Dark chocolates are indeed the healthier alternative to satisfy your sweet tooth. It has less sugar and fat content plus it even comes with a lot of health benefits if eaten in moderation.
